From listening to this morning's Tom Joyner Morning Show (TJMS), it seems that California Congresswoman Maxine Waters has been put on blast on the front page of the New York Times. It seems Congresswoman Waters put Wells Fargo, Bank of America and other banks on blast at this year's SOBU (State of the Black Union). I didn't see that part of the forum but she probably did give them a tongue-lashing knowing the straight-talking Congresswoman. In light of the economic situation this country is in because of the greed of their business executives; they deserved every critical word from the Congresswoman and anyone else. Joyner said that the banks were sponsors of SOBU and had representatives in the audience. Oh, well.
The way things work in business and politics, I'm sure the Congresswoman had to see this latest attempt to discredit her blasted over the media. The report in the Times basically implies that the Congresswoman tries to get a kickback to help a bank but you can read it for yourself. The congresswoamn was interviewed by Roland Martin this morning on TJMS. We'll try to post a link to the interview. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
